What are the deadlines for registration?
For important dates, please visit our "Dates and Fees" page. How are delegations chosen/assigned? After submitting Form I, the conference organizers see the number of delegates per school and send a list of randomly assigned nations in different committees that matches the number of delegates participating. Schools then assign delegates to nations from the list and inform the conference organizers of which student is representing which country in Form II. Is there a minimum or maximum number of delegates per school? No, there is no limit or required minimum to participate in BSBMUN. We are happy to accomodate any and all delegates that attend. |
How can I contact my Chairs prior to the conference? Contact information for each Chair is listed under the committee that the student is chairing. Chairs are always happy to lend any assistance to delegates. If you have any questions about the conference as a whole please contact our Secretary General via the "Contact Us" page on this website. What is a Position Paper? A position paper describes a delegation's stance on a topic. BSBMUN requires that all delegates submit position papers to their chairs by the due date. For further information on writing a position paper, please visit our "Resources" page. What should I bring to the conference? Delegates must be in full Western Business Attire throughout the conference. It is recommended that delegates take a pen, pendrive, and laptop to all committee sessions. Feel free to bring other electronics such as iPads for further support, but keep in mind that delegates may not be using their phones during committee session. Delegates should already have submitted their Position Papers by the date set above. Finally, delegates are expected to arrive with a short opening speech that ranges from 30 seconds to one minute and draft resolutions in preparation for lobbying time. Where can I find further information on Preparation? Please visit our "Resources" page or feel free to contact us using the form on our "Contact Us" page. |
