1814 Congress of Vienna

"The Congress of Vienna, in 1814-1815, reorganized Europe after the Napoleonic Wars. It began in September 15th, five months after Napoleon's abdication and completed its "Final Act" in June 1815, shortly before the Waterloo campaign and the final defeat of Napoleon. The settlement was the most comprehensive treaty Europe had seen and its designed a system of international relations that would create longstanding peace until the Great War a century later."

Meet the Chairs
Orlando Faria
Austin Monestel
Tomas Athayde
Hello, fellow delegates! I am Orlando Faria, a 15-year-old sophomore at the American School of Brasilia. I am both excited and honored at the opportunity of being Head-Chair of the Congress of Vienna on this sixth edition of BSBMUN. My love for MUN started in 8th grade; I was immediately hooked by the mix of history and politics that MUN provides. This year, I hope that alongside Tomás and Austin, I can take you to 19th-century Vienna to redraw the map of Europe through Zoom! Outside of Model United Nations, I enjoy reading a good book, playing video games, watching Formula 1, and playing volleyball. This committee has the potential to be incredible, but we need your cooperation for this to happen delegates; so, if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me at eab202302923@eabdf.br or at (61) 99955-8151. See you at the conference!

Hi everyone, My name is Austin Monestel and I am currently a freshman at EAB. It is an honor to be the Vice-Chair of the 1814 Congress of Vienna. During this committee, I hope that you have fun. I hope that this is a new experience for both newcomers to MUN and also for those who have done MUN before. My interest for MUN started in middle school and since then I have drastically improved in public speaking skills, international relations, and I have also met many new cultures along the way. To me, that's the beauty of MUN and as Vice-chair, alongside Orlando and Tomás, I hope to bring that to you. Throughout this committee, I indeed wish that you learn more history on this subject and learn how much of modern Europe was formed from these events. Finally, when I’m not in a conference, I like to read novels, informational science books, and I also like to design and build just about anything. If you need any help or have questions/concerns please feel free to email me at eab202420100@eabdf.br or text me at +55 (61) 99124-0895. I look forward to seeing all of you at the conference.
